Garam Masala
A complex blend of spices called garam masala includes earthy cumin, sweet cinnamon, hot peppercorns, tangy coriander, and fragrant cardamom.
Description
Indian cuisine frequently uses the whole-spices combination of garam masala in everything from curries and lentil meals to soups. To release their fragrant qualities, whole spices like cinnamon, mace, peppercorns, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, and cardamon pods are toasted in a skillet before being processed to a powder. The “warming spices” in the blend’s name are supposed to warm the body and speed up metabolism.
